2024 Procurement Requests

We have been awarded two Kansas FY 2022 State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program awards: one for a Cybersecurity Framework Assessment, the other for a Google Admin Domain Audit. Information about each is listed below.

1. Cybersecurity framework assessment of Pratt USD 382 to assist in the establishment of our Information Security Program. The assessment focuses on five core functions: Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, and Recover. This will include:

• current environment discovery
• identification and prioritization of critical business risks
• review of firewall configurations
• external vulnerability scanning
• identification of security gaps
• assessment of current cyber incident and emergency preparedness
• establishment of a policy and procedure framework
• planning for implementation of controls

The framework assessment will identify existing vulnerabilities and potential risks in our working environment. Our goals are to prioritize risks to ensure that resources are allocated effectively, address critical risks to protect against potential threats, compare our practices against industry standards to highlight any gaps and improve our overall security posture. We would like to prepare an Incident Response Plan from the assessment.

2. Google Admin Domain Audit with support hours to help make the changes recommended by the audit. The Google for Education Audit is an in-depth report that examines current configurations of core services and third-party tools. Its purpose is to evaluate their operational efficiency and effectiveness. Based on the findings, the audit provides recommendations, a detailed roadmap, and support for implementing necessary changes. The ultimate goal is to align our domain with educational best practices, enhance security, ensure compliance, promote adoption, and optimize usage within our institution. The audit process involves reviewing the admin console domain settings to identify areas of concern, misaligned settings, weak policies, misconfigured third-party integrations, and security gaps.

If you are interested in bidding on either project, please submit a bid to Molly Swank molly.swank@usd382.com by December 1, 2024. All bidders must comply with the terms and conditions of the US Department of Homeland Security State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program.
