Parent/Student Information

Compulsory Attendance Law
State law requires compulsory attendance until the age of 18. If you have any questions, contact the PHS Principal at 620-672-4540.

Immunizations/Physicals/Insurance
Kansas sate law requires immunization against the following for all pupils entering Kansas schools for the first time:

Diphtheria Polio
Whooping Cough Rubella
Tetanus Reubeola Measles
Mumps Hepatitis B
Varicella

Parents should be aware that students need tetanus-diphtheria vaccinations every ten years.

Physicals
Are required for ALL Middle School and Senior High students participating in cheerleading, or interscholastic athletics. KSHSAA forms needed for this purpose are available at LMS and PHS offices.

Insurance
Our schools DO NOT provide accident insurance or pay ambulance service charges for students except to provide limited coverage to students participating in Kansas State High School Activities Association sponsored activities.

Optional school insurance may be purchased by parents for their children each year. Since the cost of the insurance is quite low, it is suggested that parents give consideration to this program.

Insurance information will be included with mail-in enrollment packets or available at any attendance center.
