LINDA S. AUSTIN-LANTERMAN - PHS Class of 1982 Linda has been the Director of Kansas State Parks since 2010, after previously serving as Assistant Director from 1997-2010. In these roles, Linda has been instrumental in providing recreational opportunities for Kansans across the state with the Kansas State Park System enjoying over 8 million visitors annually. In 2023, Linda was awarded the National Association of State Park Directors “Distinguished Service Award”. A PHS graduate in 1982, her career is marked by numerous national and state leadership positions. Locally, Linda has served the Pratt community by designing and developing the Green hiking trails, volunteering with the Miss Kansas pageant, creating the PPSF annual teacher grant program and writing grants for Pratt nonprofits.

DEB BARKER GOYEN - PHS Class of 1973 Deb’s life has been one of leadership and service to the Pratt community and Greenbacks. A life-long resident of Pratt and 1973 PHS graduate, she retired from People’s Bank after a 45 year career in banking. Deb has been involved with Miss Kansas for over 40 years and currently is Treasurer. She received the State Service Award in 1996 and Star Volunteer of the year in 2015. In 1991, Deb came up with the idea of a lighted Christmas park and through commitment and grit made the dream a reality. She remains in charge of the Lemon Park Christmas Lights enjoyed by over 28,000 vehicles each year. Deb has served three terms on the Pratt Chamber Board of Directors and also served on the Travel and Tourism Board for over three decades receiving the Joe Wynn Service Award in 2006. Deb is now a K-State Extension Master Gardener. She lives outside of Pratt with her husband Kent.

DEB HARRISON MILLER - PHS Class of 1973 Deb is a 1973 Pratt High School graduate and has led a life devoted to public service. At Kansas State University, she was active in student government serving as KSU’s Campus Director for the Associated Students of Kansas later becoming the organization’s Executive Director. She worked for Governor John Carlin in his policy office from 1980 until1984 when she joined the Kansas State Department of Transportation where she worked as a special assistant to the Secretary of Transportation later becoming the Planning Director. In 2003 she was appointed by Governor Kathleen Sebelius to serve as Secretary of the Kansas Department of Transportation, remaining in that position until 2011. In 2014, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Surface Transportation Board, a railroad regulatory agency. She left the Board in 2019. Deb currently serves as the Chair of the Kansas Turnpike Authority.
