How PowerLunch Works
The district's lunch program uses PowerSchool system. High school and middle school students enter their lunch ID's through a keypad as they exit the lunch line. Elementary schools will use scanners and no cards will be issued. The ID card is scanned each time a meal is purchased, automatically subtracting the charge from the student's account balance.

Government Policy and  Meal Prices
One breakfast and one lunch per student per day is reimbursed by the government for eligible students. Students who purchase a second meal or a cash meal will be charged the full non-reimbursable cost of the meal.

PHS/LMS students may purchase additional entrees from the main line. There is a salad bar in the central cafeteria.

Parents wishing to make application for free and reduced meals for their students should apply with the District Food Service Representative, at the Central Office at 401 S. Hamilton. 620-672-4500 or may apply online here.

Application forms are available at One-Stop Enrollment or may be picked up at any time at the Central Office during weekday business hours. They are also available at any district attendance center during the enrollment process.

See the official USDA publication included with the application for family income guidelines concerning eligibility for free and reduced lunch tickets.
